Shalom! Welcome!

Updated: Dec 1, 2021

Well, here it goes - the first blog post on this site! It's exciting to see that, at last, this dream/idea has become a reality. Although this blog is still a long way from perfection, I hope that, with your help, it will continue to blossom into a place where we can share ideas and encourage each other in our very special walk with Yeshua.

Where did this idea even come from? Seriously? I've never been a blogger, like never, ever before. Of course, I'd browse other people's clean and seemingly effortless blogs looking for recipes and inspiration, looking only for what I came for. Many of my friends (thanks, C and A! You know who you are!) have tried to persuade me to at least try it, and at first, I jumped at the idea. It might be good to add that I wasn't even in my teens at that stage, and of course, I didn't get to it.

But I did want to. What would I write on it? Oh, anything horse and Schleich related, of course.

As I got older, though, the thought faded away into the back of my head. Who wanted to make a website anyway? Not me. What would I put on it, I ask you? My friends gave me plenty of ideas. Nah, I would tell them with a laugh. Blogging just isn't my thing.

And so it went, until I really didn't even consider it anymore. Blogging didn't appeal to me. That is, until one day not too long ago...

I have a weird trait of getting really weird ideas at absolutely weird times. They just come out of NOWHERE - literally. Oftentimes, I'm not even thinking of anything even slightly connected with the new idea. This blog, for example, was one of them.

The thought just popped in one day without even inviting itself in. It was kind of like, ''Hey girl, why don't you do something to bring other like-minded girls together?'' and I naturally replied, ''I don't know about that. Someone will put one together one day, and I'm happy to wait until they do.''

But the idea didn't leave me. Oh, no! It stayed with me. If you're like me, you'd know that once an idea decides to stay, I simply have to find a solution to either get rid of it or accomplish it as fast as possible. Since this one was in my way, I had to get rid of it. So I thought about it. And it stayed.

The more I pondered it, the more it felt as if the idea wasn't mine, but God's. What did He want me to do? An email list? No. A magazine? No. A blog? Yes. Okay.

So, here it goes. It has been months since we started working on making this uninvited idea a reality. Every step of the way, God has been teaching me so much in the process. I take no credit for all of this; it was all His idea! Doesn't Abba have the best ideas? Praise Him! All He asked is that I get out there and start. If He hadn't done this, it would never have happened. I pray that He will use this blog for His good and to bless you, dear reader!

The idea behind this blog/website is to bring together all the young girls who keep the Torah. The goal behind it is to encourage each other, build up one another, and come together. We're not alone in this journey! God put all of us here for a special purpose. He has opened each of our eyes for a very special reason. Let's encourage one another! We're all special to Him, all belong to Him. We are His. He has a plan with us!

Also, as a side, there are other things to do. There are a few sections for art, homemaking, sharing, and lots more. We've all got different talents, and God wants us to use the talents He gave us. As you will see, though, some of these sections haven't yet been launched. Please have patience as I try to get them going as soon as possible! Your help and input would be greatly appreciated and enable the pages to be launched as soon as possible!

And Israel - the Land God loves and watches all the time! What an extraordinary land it is, being restored after 2,000 years of desolation! We can help and learn more about this Land that God loves. God loves Israel and Jerusalem - we can help and learn more, and pray for the peace of Jerusalem - everyday, together. Hopefully, we'll be able to learn more about this special Land everyday and as we dig deeper into His Word! We will also explore the different ways we can all take part in the restoration and hastening of His Kingdom - we live in exciting times!

Now, here's where you can help - submit things! Anything! Art tips (different drawing techniques, pen types, I am clueless of all these things - help me out!), music, favourite recipes, craft ideas, blog posts that you think would encourage, I don't know - you think of something. Think out of the box. It will be awesome to get different ideas and perspectives - there are so many out there! And, most importantly, anything that you think will bless those around you. Let's build each other up! If you have a small business you would like to advertise, just contact us. We will have a little section for that somewhere in this blog maze...

And so, that's the end of Blog Post no. 1. I hope that you will be blessed by this blog, and I can't wait to get to know each of you more as we walk this journey hand in hand. Be blessed, be encouraged. Shalom!

''Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!'' Psalm 133:1

''On your walls, Jerusalem, I have set watchmen. All day and all night, they will never hold their peace. 'You who remind ADONAI, take no rest for yourselves, and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.''' Isaiah 62:6-7
