Dressing in a modest, God honoring way is so exciting. There are so many styles, colours and ideas out there that are simply gorgeous. There are so many options out there, and so many fun ideas.

As daughters of the King of kings who loves us without measure, we have been created with an appreciation for beauty and looking neat and tidy, as well as pretty. God just made us that way, and He wants us to use this gift as a way to honor Him and as a way to bring out His beauty into the world. Every family had their own guidelines for modesty dress. Usually, though, the guidelines are skirts that sit below the knees, not skin tight clothing, higher necklines, and some sort of sleeve.

Sometimes it can be a bit daunting when we start on the journey of modesty (I know it was like that for me!), and even old-timers can sometimes find it hard to find a style they like. Unlike some people’s ideas on modesty, dressing in a modest, God honouring way is not drab, colourless, plain or boring. In fact, it is exactly the opposite!
